We are the Blackburn branch of Bharuchi Vohora UK. We support families from the Bharuchi Vohora community living in Blackburn and the surrounding area, and we welcome anyone in the town who needs help finding the right service or support.

How much does it cost to get support?

Nothing. All of our support, guidance, events and signposting are free of charge. We are a volunteer-led community organisation, not a business.

What kind of help can you give me?

We help with family support, elder wellbeing, youth activities, community events, volunteering, and understanding council or public services. We are not solicitors, doctors or financial advisers, so for those matters we help you understand your options and point you to the right professional service.

How do I become a member?

Complete the short membership application on our Member Area page. A member of the team reviews every application and will contact you to confirm. Membership is free.

Are your events free to attend?

Yes, our events are free unless we clearly state otherwise. Places are limited, so please register in advance on the Events page and we will confirm your place by email.

Can I volunteer with you?

Yes, and we would love to hear from you. Fill in the volunteer form and tell us how much time you can give. Some roles that involve children or adults at risk require a DBS check, which we will explain to you.

Yes. Anything you share with us is treated confidentially and stored securely. We only share information without your consent if someone is at risk of serious harm, as set out in our Safeguarding Policy.

We aim to respond within two to three working days. If your matter is urgent or someone is in immediate danger, please contact the emergency services on 999.
