Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations Programme

Information on the upcoming flu and COVID-19 vaccination programmes to help protect our community.

As we approach the colder months, it is important to consider protecting ourselves and our families from seasonal illnesses. The NHS will soon be rolling out its annual flu vaccination programme, alongside the autumn COVID-19 booster campaign. These vaccinations are particularly important for older people, young children, pregnant women, and those with underlying health conditions. Eligibility criteria and booking details will be made available by the NHS and local GP surgeries in due course. Getting vaccinated can help reduce the risk of serious illness, hospitalisation, and transmission within the community. We encourage all eligible members of our community to take up the offer when it becomes available. Further information on who is eligible and how to book an appointment will be published on the NHS website. Please consult your GP or pharmacist for personal medical advice. For support or signposting, please contact BVUK Blackburn via our contact page.
